Albionites
The Albionites where the first people to emerge after the destruction of the Old Kingdom of Albion. Most people today are probably descended from them and the term is still probably used to refer to people from Albion.

Archon
The Archons were the ancient rulers of the Old Kingdom. The first Archon was William Black, who rose to power after freeing Albion from the tyrannical rule of The Court. William Black was also the first recorded Will User, which gave rise to a bloodline full of powerful Heroes, who would go on to change and shape the world many times over.

Under William's reign, Albion entered a golden age of peace and prosperity, but his fight with The Court and his time in the The Void had weakened his body and infected him with a wasting illness. Faced with this decay, he vanished from the world, leaving his children, who without enemy to vanquish, had grown petty, selfish and cruel -- which began the corruption of the Old Kingdom.

The Archons – as a ruling class – came to end on the day the Spire was first activated. The Archon who ordered the construction of the spire made the first wish, which destroyed the entire Old Kingdom; whether this was accidental or deliberate remains a mystery.

Known Descendants of the Archon's Bloodline
* Scarlet Robe
* The Hero Oakvale
* Theresa
* The Hero of Southcliff
* Rose
* The Hero of Bowerstone

Trivia
* All Archons, and their succeeding blood relatives, are said to be immortal.

Avo
Species: God
Gender: Male
Enemies: Skorm
Status: Hoax

Avo is a God, who represents the light side alignment. He is a direct counterpart to Skorm, who represents evil. Many years ago, followers of Avo and Skorm battled, as shown by the Holy warrior and Daemon helms found in the Northern Wastes. There is a temple in Witchwood dedicated to Avo where Heroes can donate money in exchange for different rewards, the priests there recommend to donate generously, the more they donate the more good the Heroes become. The Oracle claims that Avo and Skorm were created by an enterprising merchant who noticed two spots in Albion where will was particularly strong - one that gave off a calming aura and one that gave a malevolent aura. He built temples on top of them and started the mythologies associated with Skorm and Avo. This is disputable as when you enter the Temple you hear an angelic voice that belongs to neither of the priests.

Time of the Hero of Bowerstone
It is revealed that some centuries before the Hero of Bowerstone, both churches were overthrown along with the Guild of Heroes. It has recently been replaced by the Temple of Light and the Temple of Shadows, which for some bizarre reason have the exact same customs and rules as the churches before them but less serious and more incompetent.

Balvorn
Type: Monster

A Balvorn is a terrifying creature which was originally an icon of Albion mythology. The Snowspire Oracle said they used to eat thousands of people at a time. No one survived the Balvorn's attack, except for one man who became the first Balverine. It was said to be 100 meters tall, and had a mouth that could swallow cities.

Trivia
* The Balverine Strength potion states that it "doesn't have any Balvorn Bi-Products".
* Lilith may possibly be a more direct descendant of the Balvorn.

Court
The Court is the evil order of extreme power, that rules, and is said to have existed in The Void before man existed on Albion. The Court consists of the Queen of Blades, the Knight of Blades, and Jack of Blades. When they came to Albion from The Void, they demanded that people bow to them. When the citizens refused, The Court decided to destroy all but the land.

Notes
They may be related to the similarly named Shadow Court, especially seeing as there is a "Shadow King" whom is explicitly referred to, which follows the same playing-card naming system.

Delfe
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Status: Dead

Delfe was once the most powerful sorceress in all of Albion. At first her magical talents were used for selfish purposes, but she later repented her ways and used her skills for the benefit of others. She was laid to rest, along with the Heroes Solcius and Holdr, within The Guild Courtyard, just outside Maze's Chambers. It is these three Heroes who judge the hearts of those who seek to claim Avo's Tear.

Demon
Demons are tricky, cunning, typically chaotic spirits that are implied to exist in the The World. The only known "demons" to be mentioned in Albion lore are the innocuous Demon Doors.

Notes
*Because of their behavior, appearance ,and apparent connection with the darker forces of The World, Shadows may be demons, or connected to them in some way.
*Minions are described by mortals as demons. If this is true, then this may imply that all or some demons make their home in The Void, as minions are Jack of Blades' personal guards.
*Despite their name, demons in the Albion do not seem to be completely or inherently evil. Demon Doors, for example, appear to be harmless, with the exception of the Darkwood Demon Door that will cast down its minions upon you.
*Jack of Blades mentions that the demons that mankind fears are nothing to him during his second battle with the Hero of Oakvale. It is unknown if this statement literally implies the existence of demons, or if Jack was simply boasting his power.
*The superstitious residents of the Northern Wastes believe that the opening of the Bronze Gate will bring forth a horde of vicious demons from beyond its walls, bringing forth the end of The World as it is known. This most likely did not happen, however, since nothing like this is mentioned in the time of the Hero of Bowerstone. Despite this, it does strengthen the claim that demons exist in some form in the Albion.

Trivia
* Because demons don't seem to always be evil in Albion, the word's use may be derived from an earlier definition. For example, the ancient Occasusian definition of the word δαίμων, which translates to "demon" simply means "spirit".
* The family of the Hero Wheldon was said to have been ripped to shreds by demonic creatures.

Dragon
Many Dragons lived in Albion, but The Old Kingdom huntsmen killed them for sport. The survivors fled to the mountains and the Northern Wastes and overtime they grew less powerful, and their fiery breath less dangerous. Without man they had no natural enemies.

Notes
*A Hero, known as Holdr, was the last man to tame a dragon seen in Albion and ride it into countless battles.

Knight of Blades
Species: Being of The Void
Gender: Male
Relatives: Jack of Blades, Queen of Blades
Home: The Void
Status: Dead

The Knight of Blades is a person mentioned in Tales of Albion.

History
The Tales of Albion states that he appeared with Jack of Blades and the Queen of Blades (together known as 'The Court') from The Void. He and the others are said to have demanded that the inhabitants of Albion bow down before them. When they were refused, they "burned Albion until the earth turned black and the sky was thick with smoke". When the people refused a second time, they lifted the sea into the sky and flooded the world. The third time they demanded worship, they said they would bring peace, but again the people refused, so The Court twisted their minds until they went insane. Finally, the inhabitants of Albion bowed to The Court.

The Knight of Blades was the first to fall at the hands of William Black (Jack of Blades being the second). His fight with William Black took place on the peak on Mount Ruon, the highest mountain in Albion. By using the The Sword of Aeons, William completely destroyed the Knight.

Languages of Albion
The languages of Albion have varied drastically during the country's history. Modern Albion has its own unique language with its own unique alphabet, though they speak English with various accents. We know that the Old Kingdom spoke their own unique language which may be an archaic form of the languages spoken in the times of the Hero of Oakvale and the Hero of Bowerstone. The language spoken in the Hero of Oakvale is different than the one spoken in Albion during the Hero of Bowerstone's time, 500 years later, though this change is likely simply similar to the change between Old English and Modern English. There is a problem with the language. During the Hero of Bowerstone's quests when we enter the site where Oakvale once was, there is a sign that in English says "Oakvale" though the people of Albion have a different alphabet.

Leo Head
Species: Human
Gender: Male (before taking the potion); Female (after taking the potion
Home: Fairfax Castle
Status: Dead

Leo Head was a famous alchemist whose last known whereabouts are linked to Fairfax Castle. It is said that he locked himself in the castle. He is said to have left his last and greatest potion deep within the Castle Grounds, the Potion of Transmogrification. Not much else is known about him.

History
He had moved to Bowerstone Market and lived in The Miracle Manor, much to the joy of the people of Bowerstone to have such a celebrity and inventor in their midst. Here, he came to great riches from his potions. He built Castle Fairfax and owned it until he mysteriously disappeared, while the dead body of a woman was found years later.

Trivia
*Leo Head's potion company is named Lionhead Alchemie Incorporate.
*Leo is also Latin for lion, so his name translates as 'Lion Head'.
*He appears to have tried the gender altering potion on himself, as guards found a dead old woman in Fairfax Castle, and no trace of Leo.

Pirate
A Pirate is usually a murderous cutthroat who travels on a ship. They are usually evil and want treasure and riches. They loot other ships in search for gold and jewels.

During the Hero of Oakvale's time, piracy has started out and some people are already collecting riches on the sea.

During the Hero of Bowerstone's time, pirates and piracy is mentioned a lot. Two of the most noted pirates ever were Reaver and Captain Dread. Bloodstone is a port town where many pirates come because of the lack of law and the easy accessibility to the sea.

The crew of Captain Dread, being all dead, become Ghost Pirates. These are murderous ghosts and can be fought in The Sinkhole and aboard The Marianne.

Platinum Troll
Platinum Trolls are first mentioned in the description of Archon's Battle Armour. The last Platinum Troll was killed by Archon himself. The troll's remains were then made into the Archon's Battle Armour.

Cause of Extinction
The decline of the Platinum Troll's population is unknown. Although, when Heroes became common in the Old Kingdom and became familiarized with The Powers of Will, fierce creatures whom had once controlled certain elements of nature were being hunted. Such as the Dragons whom once controlled the skies of Albion. It is possible that killing Platinum Trolls was considered an honor as great as killing a Kraken, the masters of the sea.

Habitat
Platinum is found in rocky areas containing ore. It is theorized that they may have lived in Albion's western mountain range. Or, quite possibly the Northern Wastes along with their Ice Troll brethren.

Primal Shadows
Type: Shadow

Primal Shadows are, for lack of a better term, the leaders of the Shadows. Also known as the "First Shadows", they have yet to directly appear in Albion, despite being mentioned briefly.

History
The Primal Shadows are apparently revered by the cultists of The Temple of Shadows. It is well known that the original temple was destroyed during a ritual gone horrendously wrong. Upon acquisition of The Maelstrom, the details of what caused this event are brought to the light. The description reads:

"This longsword has been forged by the First Shadows themselves, beings far purer in their evil and their power than the ordinary shadows that haunt Albion. When the founders of the Temple of Shadows tried to summon one of these beings, they were unable to control it. Before it disappeared into its own dimension, it slaughtered every one of them for their insolence, and left its instrument of punishment behind as a warning to others."

Based upon this information, it would appear that these "First Shadows" are sentient, unimaginably powerful creatures from an alternate reality.

Notes
*Based upon the appearance of Shadows in general and their likely demonic origins, this "dimension" the Primal Shadows call home could be none other than The Void.
*The Shadow Court may either be the Primal Shadows' servants and link to Albion, or Primal Shadows themselves.

Ranger
While not much is known about these mysterious warriors we know Rangers exist.

Hero of Oakvale's Time
The definition of a ranger is one who excels at the use of ranged weaponry such as bows or crossbows. A second definition is that they are defenders of a certain region, Albion for example. It is uncertain if there are any other rangers.

Hero of Bowerstone's Time
By the time of the Hero of Bowerstone it is confirmed that Rangers were a group. There is a coat, and trousers named after the Rangers. The "Ranger Coat" has armour under the cloak suggesting Rangers were used to combat. If you read the description it claims that that they "aren't seen much these days" hinting that at one time Rangers could have been fairly common. Also it tells of the Rangers love of the woods, and seems to comically display this fact in the description. (NOTE: With this information one could assume that Rangers in Albion may be like those of J.R.R. Tolkien's series "The Lord Of The Rings")

Conclusion
While some of this is theory, it is a proven that Rangers exist in Albion as a group and are well suited to the wilderness as well as battle.

Sandgoose
The Sandgoose is a mythological goose said to be in a desert in Albion. Many stories have been told about this legendary creature. It is also said to speak English at the level of a 3 year old.

The Oracle's Prophecy
The Oracle of Snowspire tells the Hero of Oakvale of a mythical creature said to roam the desert of Albion to the East. The Oracle says:

"Many strange creatures have walked upon this world since its birth, yet the historians who found some of their remains are responsible for one which never existed: the fabled Sandgoose. Joining the remains of various beasts, they hypothesized that this flightless bird was the size of a house, lived primarily in deserts and was able to speak a variety of languages. There are those who still believe in its existence, but their search has proved fruitless so far."

Hero of Bowerstone's Time
Sandgoose appears as an inn's name, The Sandgoose in Oakfield.

Trivia
* In Oakfield's Cemetery, there is a gravestone marked with, "Sandgoose. Loved by all. Seen by none."

Singing Sword
The Singing Sword is one of Albion's oldest fables. It tells the tale of a sword whose enormous powers were matched by the perfect pitched voice with which it would sing battle songs. But in some versions of the myth, it was its dreadful lack of tune that would defeat whole armies. This has led some scholars to believe that the tale has its root in Temmins, the worst bard ever to exist. He who once killed an old Hero by regaling him with a monstrously bad melody. Unfortunately, it is only a fable, and such a sword has never existed.

Skorm
Species: God
Gender: Male
Enemies: Avo
Status: Hoax

Skorm is an evil god of Albion, discredited by the Oracle, which tells the Hero of Oakvale that Skorm and Avo were actually made up by a merchant who discovered two places where the will energy was especially strong. The Temple of Avo was built upon the spot with will energy that gave good thoughts and feelings while the Chapel of Skorm was laid upon the evil will concentration. It can be speculated that the belief in Skorm and Avo was started centuries before the Hero's Journey, as two armies held a battle in Snowspire over whose god was superior.

The fact that the Oracle claim Skorm to be nothing more than a hoax is disputable, because when you enter Skorm chapel you hear a disembodied and sinister voice that doesn't belong to any of the two priests.
